“Andrzej Socha does not follow the artistic canons settled in the consciousness of the people. He creates individual, extraordinary and personal aesthetics indicating vibration of subjects which goes together with the rhythm of the present-day.

Andrzej Socha is steering our perception of the world. He shows not only that out reality is temporary but he also tries to indicate the perspective of its further development.”

The review by Janusz Tortyllo painter and dramatist.

“The artist tries to present a realistic picture by means of sparing almost ascetic devices. He is a colourist who paints only the outline of the form without bringing it to the definitive shape. Sometimes he suggests only the existence of an object as well as of water and air.

The created reality is hardly mentioned but so much present…

There are many subjects in his works but the urban theme seems to come back.

That is why he frequently paints Kazimierz nad Wisla, Lublin, his hometown, and of course Gdansk – the place he lives and works. It reflects his very personal attitude to these places.”
